Orem (UTA station)

Orem is a commuter rail station in Orem, Utah, United States served by the ''FrontRunner'', Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) commuter rail train that operates along the Wasatch Front with service from Pleasant View in northern Weber County through Ogden, Davis County, Salt Lake City, and Salt Lake County to Provo in central Utah County. The station is also referred to as Orem Intermodal Center, Orem Central Station, or Orem CRST by UTA. It is part of the ''FrontRunner'' South extension.
==Description==
The station is located at 900 South 1350 West. It is easily accessed from I-15 by way of the University Parkway (SR-265) interchange. From I-15 head west on University Parkway and then north on Geneva Road (SR-114). Turn east on 1000 South and follow it until it turns north becoming 1350 West. The station can also be accessed by heading south on 1350 West from 800 South (although 800 South does not cross I-15). The majority of the Utah Valley University main campus is located on the opposites side of I-15. The station has a Park and Ride lot with nearly 500 free parking spaces available.〔 The station is located within the Quiet Zone, so trains do not routinely sound their horns when approaching public crossings within this corridor.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Front Runner South FAQs )〕 The station opened, along with the rest of the ''FrontRunner'' South, on 10 December 2012〔 and is operated by Utah Transit Authority.
The Orem ''FrontRunner'' Station is the main part of the Orem Intermodal Center. UTA refers to it as an intermodal center because it plans on having a MAX bus rapid transit (BRT) line (Provo Orem MAX) connect at the intermodal center upon completion of that line. Originally there were plans to construction an actual station building (similar to the Ogden Intermodal Transit Center), however, as of August 2013, there is no indication that any work on the anticipated building will begin anytime in the near future.
All of UTA's TRAX and ''FrontRunner'' trains and stations, as well as all fixed route buses, are compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act and are therefore accessible to those with disabilities.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Fixed Route Accessibility )〕 Since not all ''FrontRunner'' passenger cars are wheelchair accessible, signage at the stations, on the passenger platforms, and on the passenger cars clearly indicate accessibility options. In addition, each train has one or more Train Hosts available to provide assistance as may be needed, including the placement of ramps for wheelchair boarding.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Riders with Disabilities )〕 In accordance with the Utah Clean Air Act and UTA ordinance, "smoking is prohibited on UTA vehicles as well as UTA bus stops, TRAX stations, and ''FrontRunner'' stations".〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Rider Rules )
